Terms & coaching scope.

Effective June 27, 2026

These terms apply to this website and the general information offered by SafeTide Recovery. Any separate coaching agreement or booking terms presented to you will also apply to coaching services.

Coaching—not clinical care

SafeTide provides trauma- and addiction-informed recovery coaching, education, reflection, encouragement, and practical tools. Coaching is not psychotherapy, medical care, substance-use treatment, diagnosis, case management, legal advice, or a substitute for care from a licensed professional.

SafeTide’s coaches do not represent themselves through this website as licensed therapists, physicians, or emergency responders. A coaching relationship does not create a doctor–patient or therapist–client relationship.

Emergencies and crisis support

This website, email, Google Forms, Calendly, and coaching appointments are not monitored as emergency services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988 for 24/7 crisis support.

Your role in coaching

You are responsible for your decisions, actions, safety, and for seeking appropriate licensed or emergency care when needed. Coaching outcomes vary, and SafeTide cannot promise a particular result. You may pause or decline an exercise and are encouraged to communicate boundaries and concerns.

Eligibility and minors

Educational resources may be designed for multiple age groups. Coaching for a minor, if offered, requires parent or legal-guardian involvement and consent whenever required by law or SafeTide policy. Availability may depend on location, age, safety needs, and whether coaching is an appropriate fit.

Scheduling, payment, and cancellations

The initial consultation is free. Ongoing coaching uses a pay-what-you-can approach unless another arrangement is agreed in writing. Session length, format, contribution amount, cancellation expectations, and rescheduling options will be shown during booking or confirmed before services begin.

Appointments may be rescheduled or declined when needed for safety, fit, availability, nonpayment of an agreed amount, repeated missed appointments, or conduct that makes coaching unsafe or unworkable.

Privacy and online tools

Use of this website is also subject to the Privacy Notice. Google, scheduling tools, GoFundMe, Instagram, Facebook, and other linked services have their own terms and privacy practices. SafeTide is not responsible for outside platforms or content reached through external links.

Website information and resources

Website content and shared resources are for general educational purposes. They may not fit every situation and should not be treated as individualized medical or mental health guidance. You may use downloadable resources for personal, noncommercial purposes unless a resource states otherwise.

Respectful use

Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, impersonate another person, submit unlawful or abusive content, or use SafeTide materials in a misleading or commercial way without permission.

Changes and contact

SafeTide may update the website, services, availability, or these terms. Continued use after an update means the revised website terms apply. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

Review recommended: These plain-language terms reflect the current coaching website and are not legal advice. A qualified attorney should review them before the practice expands, introduces paid packages, or serves clients across additional jurisdictions.
